ITV’s This Morning

In support of Soccer Aid 2019 which took place on Father’s Day, ITV’s This Morning ran a competition to give one deserving dad the chance to join the England team’s star-studded squad and become a ‘super-sub’. With a penalty shootout taking place live on daytime television the show used FORZA Fusion Astro Footballs to kick into the back of our 18.5 x 6.5 FORZA Alu110 Freestanding Football Goal.

In support of Unicef, Soccer Aid has taken place eight times over the last 13 years and sees an all-England squad of ex-professionals and celebrities take on the Soccer Aid World Eleven (also made up of ex-professionals and celebrities from the rest of the world) to raise funds so children across the globe can have a chance to play. Teaming up with This Morning, they offered two dads the chance to battle it out to have the opportunity of playing at Chelsea FC’s home ground of Stamford Bridge.

With the penalty shootout taking place outside the iconic Television Centre in London, which houses programmes such as Strictly Come Dancing’s ‘It Takes Two’ and The Graham Norton Show, the Net World Sports team successfully installed the FORZA Football Goal in the centre of the studio buildings in record time before catching all the action behind the scenes.

Homeland actor, David Harewood was the celebrity goalkeeper in between the sticks of our 18.5 x 6.5 FORZA Alu110 Freestanding Football Goal, whilst This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby prepped the two dads who had been chosen to take part after their sons had nominated them. Using the FORZA Fusion Astro Football to take the shots, both played best of three which saw one of the dads crowned champion after keeping a clean sheet whilst the other hit the crossbar.

Designed for both junior and senior club training sessions, the 18.5 x 6.5 FORZA Alu110 Football Goal is manufactured using 110mm reinforced aluminium with a white polyester powder coating. Heavy duty, but still light enough to retain its portability, the 18.5 x 6.5 FORZA Alu110 Football Goal conforms to match regulations set by the FA, MLS, A-League, UEFA and FIFA.

To complete the set and give it a real pitch feel we also supplied FORZA Football Free Kick Mannequins as well as our Portable Team Shelter to house Phil and Holly from the rain.
